Trixie & The Misfit Toyz is a badass original metal *meets* punk *meets* industrial band, founded and grounded in Phoenix, Arizona, consisting of credible players and seasoned showmen looking to produce a high-quality entertainment experience that sets a new bar. We're intent on bending genres, obliterating boundaries and turning it up to ELEVEN.
As performing artists, we've done our time and paid our dues. We persist in doing what we do for the love of entertaining the masses. We won't be mistaken for some cliche tribute band, and cannot be categorized as have-beens; we take our craft seriously.
And yet, we couldn't help noticing that people don't really go out to see bands anymore.
People go to bars to go to bars. It doesn't matter who's on stage.
It is our goal to redefine the local music scene - and in so doing, inspire a paradigm shift. We hope to remind everyone what a live show should be about, and we're going to do it our way: It's fun, freaky... maybe even a little bit creepy... guaranteed to blow your mind.
So... we're writing good sh*t, tuning up and tuning down, producing our own tracks, collecting all the right meat-packets, and planning epic shows - no doubt, COMING SOON to some dive bar near you!
Our set list will surely feature fresh tunage designed to wake the dead, along with a not-yet-overdone cover or two that we think you might be able to get behind.
If you're hungry for more than a Jack & Coke and a fifty-cent game of pool, if you crave eye candy and sex for the ears, if you need to get the f*ck out of your own headspace for a minute and wanna throw down a much-deserved sensory vacation instead of frying your brain on Netflix, then come check us out! There simply is no other way to know what you're missing...
In July of 2022, SHOWMEGOD asked former frontman, Donnie BreXXa, to rejoin the band for an anticipated tour. At the same time, Trixie Von Vixen had become increasingly desirous of rediscovering her punk rock roots and was looking to step out on her own. Thinking it would be unfair to ask the other Misfit Toyz to wait, the co-founders elected to put the project on "indefinite hold."
And that's where the story would have ended. Probably. Except...
Six months later, Trixie and Donnie found themselves back in each other's faces, and promptly started partnering on music again - despite making every effort to avoid it. Trixie & The Ego Machine (a.k.a. the sequel) was the product of a
Steel Panther concert with a dash of disco, and very likely, too much fun.
